OHSCO now Hoffmann Institute
Welcome to the website of the Hoffmann Institute. Some of you might be wondering, “What happened to OHSCO?” Well, the name “OHSCO” is no more.
Our new name is the Oswald Hoffmann Institute for Christian Outreach, but you can call us the “Hoffmann Institute” for short. We believe that this new name expresses well our commitment and our purpose.
We are committed to dynamic, catalytic, creative leadership that helps to build the capacity of individuals and congregations who want to reach out to their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Are we a school? No, we offer no degrees or diplomas, though we do work quite closely with Concordia University, which certifies Directors of Christian Outreach for the church. And through Concordia we even make available a masters program in Christian outreach.
But we are an institute committed to creating mission vision and multiplying outreach leaders. In serving people we have the privilege of helping them to share the love of Jesus with others. And we seek to enable outreach leadership within congregations and mission agencies.
