Our Mission
Our Mission is to:
- prepare students for professional outreach ministries
- encourage and develop an active outreach consciousness within the campus community
- raise outreach vision, commitment, involvement, and leadership throughout the church
The Hoffmann Institute prepares students for professional outreach ministries.
- The Hoffmann Institute's primary focus is the preparation of Directors of Christian Outreach(DCO) for congregational, cross-cultural, and Bible translation ministries.
- Hoffmann Institute actively recruits students for outreach ministries in cooperation with the Office of Admission.
- Hoffmann Institute promotes professional outreach ministries among congregations and agencies of the church, thus cultivating positions for these workers.
- Hoffmann Institute provides academic education and internships for students preparing for outreach ministries through the Concordia University curriculum.
- Hoffmann Institute provides outreach education for students pursuing other careers.
- Hoffmann Institute forms outreach students spiritually and professionally through the Hoffmann Institute Fellowship- a community of outreach-oriented professors, stduents, and staff which provides mentoring, motivation, and other growth experiences.
The Hoffmann Institute incourages and develops an active outreach consciousness within the campus community.
- Hoffmann Institute provides leadership for the Concordia Mission Society.
- Hoffmann Institute develops and provides leadership for the Hoffmann Institute Fellowship, a community of outreach-oriented professors, students, and staff.
- Hoffmann Institute leads outreach-oriented Bible studies and activities which support and motivate the campus community toward participation in outreach.
The Hoffmann Institute raises outreach vision, commitment, involvement, and leadership throughout the church.
- Hoffmann Institute develops and offers outreach education to congregations and groups throug distance learning.
- Hoffmann Institute develops and offers outreach workshops and seminars.
- Hoffmann Institute participates in outreach events at the congregational, circuit, district, adn cynodical level, i.e., LWML gatherings, Great Commission Convocations, Mission Sundays, Professional Church Workers Conferences, etc.
Funding for the academic portion of the Hoffmann Institute's work is provided by the college. Funding for the balance of the Hoffmann Institute's work is provided by the Hoffmann Institute's endowment and its fund-raising efforts done in cooperation with the Office of Development.
